About Erik Norum

Geologist involved in the mining industry for over twenty years within Australia and overseas. Currently Chief Geologist with EV Resources Ltd, a green metals explorer, with tin-tungsten, lithium-tantalum, gold and copper projects in Queensland, Western Australia, Europe and the Americas. Experience is primarily exploration, from Greenfield through to resource drill outs. Strong exposure to gold (Archaean, mesothermal, epithermal, orogenic, IRGS, black shale sediment hosted), copper (porphyry, skarn and stockwork/replacement) and tin (greisen and narrow structural lode) and have also explored for nickel laterite, arsenic, silver and base metals. Locations worked include Western Australia, Queensland, Victoria, New South Wales, Ghana and Guinea. Involvement with all facets of exploration from project assessment and acquisition, target definition and prioritisation utilising remote/geophysical imagery and historic exploration data (including the collation of GIS, drilling and geochemistry data into validated databases), planning and implementation of geochemistry and drilling programmes, training of staff, ensuring drilling data and sampling is to JORC standard, statutory and ASX reporting as Competent Person, and development of health and safety documentation. Proficient in the use of MapInfo and Micromine.
