About Erik Polyak

I’m the Managing Director at 314 Action, where I’ve helped grow the organization from a scrappy startup into a national leader in electing scientists, doctors, and STEM professionals to public office. Since 2017, I’ve led our efforts to raise over $60 million from grassroots donors, elect three U.S. Senators and more than 15 members of the House, and support hundreds of STEM candidates at all levels of government. Along the way, we’ve built a movement of over six million pro-science activists and a robust infrastructure to help candidates win — and lead. Before joining 314 Action, I held senior roles on competitive federal campaigns across the country, including work for Senator Tammy Duckworth, the Illinois Democratic Party, and top-tier congressional candidates. I’m passionate about helping STEM leaders shape public policy, expand who’s represented in government, and bring data-driven solutions to the challenges we face.
