About Erik Sarnstrom

Working at the Urgency Room has made me to be exposed to experiences that I normally would never see on the ambulance. It has allowed me to see the other side of patient care and how decisions are made. The ER/UC setting has developed skills such as time management, medication knowledge, and what care comes after the ambulance. At Allina Health EMS, I work alongside paramedics in a busier 911 setting or in a critical care/NICU setting. I have contributed to the vehicle design project and innovation while maintaining a focus on ensuring a safe environment for clinicians and patients alike. I’m passionate about my work and always eager to connect with people. While I enjoy many aspects of my job, my favorite is aiding those in need. With my keen eye for detail, I make sure things are done right the first time. I have an A.S. in Emergency Medical Services from Inver Hills Community College.
