About Erik van Zuilekom

I am an ecological designer generating pioneering design methodologies for the transformation of urban landscapes through the integration of living architecture. I specialise in species selection, ecological systems design and exposure analysis for vertical gardens, green roofs, facades, planter technologies, floating wetlands, green infrastructure, landscape and regenerative food systems. My expertise delivers adaptive, resilient urban ecologies that transcend passive greening—creating responsive, integrated living systems that generate abundance through natural ecological processes. I envision cities where green infrastructure isn't merely ornamental but productive habitat, fostering sustainable prosperity and ecological vitality. My approach merges deep botanical knowledge with cutting-edge design, crafting multifunctional spaces that enhance biodiversity, climate resilience and human wellbeing while producing food and ecosystem services.KEY DESIGN PROJECTS Vertical Gardens (400+ upon request)• Tower 4 (20 story high internal, Vic.
