About Erika Berreth
Hi, my name’s Erika! I’m a recently admitted Junior in Aero and Astronautical Engineering and I’m interested in airplane design. I switched majors from computer science engineering because I wanted to work on hands-on projects, rooted in complex mathematical and physical concepts. I have experience with Java, MATLAB, RStudio, and SolidWorks. I am on the propulsion team with other engineers in the Washington Aerial Robotics (WAAR) club where I have designed objects such as the motor vibration damper, and gyroscope for their quadcopter drone. I have practiced engineering documentation standards by documenting all projects through WAAR, and teamwork skills by collaborating with other engineers through the design iteration process. Outside of class and academic clubs, I play the trumpet in the Husky Marching Band where I collaborate with other musicians to learn and perform shows at a high standard. I’m interested in pursuing aerospace internships and working for companies that are involved in aerospace and commercial airplanes such as Boeing.
