As an Executive Director of People & Culture, I take full responsibility for ensuring this alignment is achieved. Integration of HR into multifaceted daily operations allows for even the boldest department level plans to be seen through to fruition. Demonstrating consistently in my commitment to building a culture of trust, high performance, learning, safety and wellness, and innovation supports the broader executive team towards executing the organizational goals. I thrive on challenge. I have a passion for forecasting opportunity. And I drive the need to reimagine what is possible. While Education is my first love, Human Resources is my ever evolving skill set. Calgary Academy has provided a platform for these two worlds to collide and since July 2015 I’ve had the great privilege to serve Calgary Academy (and its entities) in an HR capacity, building an HR program from the ground up. As Calgary Academy's first Manager, Director, and Executive Director of Human Resources, I have a big mandate and limitless opportunity. We are an organization committed to excellence with a rich history in successfully serving students with diverse learning needs. Our vision? At Calgary Academy, I foster an environment where people are constantly learning, contributing, and developing their unique capacities. Contributing to the overall health of the organization, I provide strategic human resource insight as part of the Executive Leadership Team and establish and develop and maintain HR policies and practices that deliver maximum value and produce positive operational results. This enables Calgary Academy to remain a leader in the education industry where the value of the human spirit is alive and well.
