Background
About Erika Phoenix
This is LinkedIn? Sorry to say I am not very Linkedin aesthetically. To be frank, I am an earnest sh*tposter. I am an artist, performer, poet, twitch streamer, educator, collaborator, coach, and interdisciplinary creative looking to work with and connect with virtual theatre artists, comedians, and creators worldwide. I am looking to provide and find virtual opportunities for one another that develop a creative home that has no borders or boundaries, but lives in liminal, transient, ephemeral ways. Developing and dissolving, with the relationships and connections forming bonds more meaningful than final products. Experiences fleeting as in theatre, but still incredible connections. I have a Master's Degree in Physical Theatre, emphasis on devised and created work. I am a jack of all trades, a supporter, a shifter of the lens, an absurdist, someone shifting linear time to experienced time. I am a non-binary nerd who loves to talk about art advocacy and the necessity for every human being to have access to art creation and experience regardless of their own beliefs on the perceived value of art. I write bad poetry and solo shows and sing because my body needs it, not because it's a skill I can list on my resume. I'm tired of hierarchies. I want collective creation. I want to engage in capitalism enough to shift away from it. I think art can do that in a very real and concrete way. I will never make an NFT for you, but happy to brainstorm graphics or drawings. I am bad at writing biographies.//Current Projects: The Midnight Theatre Kids - Alternative Theatre Interviews focused on teaching digital live streaming and connecting people to related resources, subverting norms in the industry and emphasizing the importance of accessibility. Articles and interviews. Untitled Musical - A work in progress musical about cult-ure with an international creative team. Short films - Teaching myself animation and honing my comedy writing. Poetry Manuscript - Writing, compiling, editing a full poetry manuscript.//Available for: Voiceover work Consulting and creative project planning Small illustration/live stream layout planning (such as Twitch emotes and overlays) Introductory OBS lessons/assistance in utilizing the platform for your personal storytelling
