About Erika Pollock

Extensive professional experience as both a Mental Health Professional, Advocate and an Educator across a diverse range of clientele including universities, TAFEs, RTOs, not for profits and government organisations. Registered with PACFA and ACA as a Psychotherapist and Counsellor and AACW as a Community Worker my experience spans case management at residential facilities to Counselling at universities. I have experience successfully meeting the needs of clients of various ages, backgrounds, cultures, abilities and severity of mental illnesses from rehabilitation centres to actute post hospital prevention and recovery facilities. As an Advocate I have worked at various universities assisting students as an idenpendent resource as to their rights in regards to university policy and preparing their cases. Also worked directly with students with special needs to ensure education access equality. As an Educator I have taught and trained in universities both in Australia and overseas in the areas of University Preparation, Academic English, Diploma of Counselling and was the Wellfare Coordinator at a number of institutes tending to day to day welfare needs of all students across campuses. Strong academic background with a double degree in Psychology and Managment from Monash with distinctions, a Grad Dip of Community Services and Development and a Masters of Psychotherapy with honours.
