About Erika Soolepp

I graduated with honors from the Bachelor of Science in Nursing program at Loyalist College. I have gained experience working in inpatient surgery, acute medicine, mental health, and complex continuing care units through Quinte Health. While working in these various units, I used my attention to detail and problem-solving skills to provide safe and competent care to my patients. I focus on meeting their needs while also achieving high levels of patient satisfaction. I am able to collect data through physical and psycho-social assessments to determine their baseline and monitor for data outside of expected results. I safely and competently perform medication administration. I am able to prioritize care for more than six patients at once. I enjoy collaborating with inter-professional teams to ensure all aspects of patient care are met. I also gained experience within Long-Term Care nursing, prioritizing care for 32-60 patients per shift. During my school clinical rotation, I enjoyed the role of Team Leader. I strive for excellence in all that I do and ensure my team is well cared for and that they feel supported. I coordinated breaks and provided assistance as needed. I enjoy the responsibilities required in leadership roles and felt very comfortable in that role. I am eager to further my career and continue expanding my knowledge base.
