About Erika Thompson

In my 12 years at Medtronic, I have worked collaboratively across multiple Cardiovascular business units to support corporate sales strategy and objectives. I have successfully implemented sales strategy and streamlined hospital protocols to increase efficiencies, improve patient care and clinical outcomes. I have connected different specialties within hospital systems for a multi-disciplinary approach to stroke care. I have built strong relationships with Interventional Cardiology, Electrophysiology, Neurology, Nephrology, device clinics, Cath labs, corporate and local contract analysts, IT, and supply chain. I have successfully arranged HCP Programs with KOL’s to further educate on key topics including economics, clinical data, and device algorithm education. I have implemented Physician and staff training on Cardiovascular device implants, Renal Denervation procedure and Cathworks FFRangio. In my time with Medtronic, I have taken on additional roles to enhance my experience and contribute to additional initiatives. I have taken on additional responsibilities such as content development at POA meetings and executed presentations to the district. I successfully completed Culture Circles wave 8 and I was selected as a Medtronic National Sales Advisor. I was selected for this leadership role to guide product development and market strategy. I was also a part of the Medtronic AccuRhythm AI Education Team. I am currently the Communications Chair for the ASPIRE Chicago LAN, where we developed 3 successful ASPIRE networking in-person leadership panel programs that included topics on Building Social Capital & Networks, Leading Through Change, and #IamRemarkable which empowers women to celebrate achievements.
