About Erin Chisman

I help people, with businesses. I handle all financial aspects of your business, including payroll, bookkeeping, establishing a business, nonprofit, and virtual office management. I am an EA (Enrolled Agent), the highest credential awarded by the Internal Revenue Service. In 2003 I founded Academy of Sound, LLC which is a private music school in Oregon and Fitchburg, WI. In 2013 I founded the Academy of Sound Foundation, Inc. and currently serve on the all-volunteer board as its President. The foundation is a scholarship organization that exists to ensure that every kid who should be studying music privately, can, regardless of their family's financial situation. In 2018 I started doing contract work as the Virtual Manager of a national construction company, which led to me opening Elevated Business Services in 2019. From December 2020 to December 2022 I was the Senior Accountant for Clinical Edge, Inc. which became OptymEdge after merging with Emmes, a full service clinical research organization (CRO) dedicated to helping commercial, government, non-profit and academic partners achieve their biopharmaceutical development and human health goals. Now in 2023, my focus has been on completing the Special Enrollment Exams for my EA designation from the IRS. I have completed and passed all three exams as of July 2023 and received my EA designation August 16, 2023. I continue to be active in the background operations at Academy of Sound, while processing payroll, preparing and filing tax returns, and doing bookkeeping and accounting for ~24 clients with Elevated Business Services.
