About Erin Clyde

I am an environmental geoscientist with fifteen years work experience in the mining industry, consulting and research. My work experience has provided with a multidisciplinary understanding of mining and its interactions with the environment. I have experience completing geochemical assessments on mining-related materials and I understand the transport and behaviour of constituents in the environment, as well as indicators to evaluate environmental quality and protection. This understanding enables me to take a multidisciplinary approach for understanding and interpreting water quality data, developing and refining environmental monitoring programs, and completing environmental assessments. I have also gained extensive knowledge of industry standards and best practices in the field of tailings facility and dam management and governance, as well as a good understand of various methods and assessment to evaluate the long-term geotechnical and geochemical stability of such structures. In addition to my technical skills, I have developed strong management, communication and interpersonal skills, including an awareness of the proper level of detail and context in communications with Indigenous People and First Nations, as well as various Stakeholders (regulatory agencies, clients, consultants, internal and external corporate management). I have experience planning and managing the execution of all project components, including communicating project scope, objectives, schedules and budgets to internal and external team members and clients. I value honesty and transparency in the workplace, and strive to engage every team member with the same level of respect that I expect to be given. I am most satisfied working in a team setting and enjoy mentoring and empowering those around me.
