About Erin Cottrell

My name is Erin Cottrell and I am a recent graduate from the University of South Carolina. During my time at Carolina, I studied marketing in the Darla Moore School of Business. Since being in college, I have pledged Sigma Omega Upsilon, a business fraternity with a strong emphasis on professionalism and cultural awareness, where I have been able to develop my professional skills, create global connections, and further my cultural knowledge. I also worked as a U101 peer leader, where I taught a class with a co-instructor to first-year students where we covered topics such as getting involved at the University, social and financial wellness, and finding community. By being involved on campus, and by prioritizing my school work, friends, and family I have increased my ability to communicate and work well with others. I recently studied abroad in Florence, Italy, where I was able to gain new perspectives on business, develop myself, and strengthen my cultural knowledge. I also recently held the position of Chief Development Officer in Sigma Omega Upsilon, where I focused on the personal and professional development of our current new members. Since graduating I am now looking for a full time job in Marketing.
