About Erin Howard

I’m a passionate and people-driven sport management professional with both a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Sport Management. I'm also a former Division I women’s basketball player at Florida State University. Currently, I serve as the Women’s Basketball Graduate Assistant at Rice University, where I work closely with coaches and student-athletes to support team operations, student-athlete development, and the overall collegiate experience. My unique perspective—shaped by my time as both a student-athlete and now as a staff member—fuels my deep interest in the evolving landscape of Name, Image, and Likeness (NIL). I’m especially driven by the opportunity to help athletes grow their personal brands, leverage NIL opportunities, and thrive beyond their playing field. What sets me apart is my ability to build authentic relationships. I connect easily with athletes, coaches, and administrators, and I’m known for being someone people trust, relate to, and genuinely enjoy working with. I’m actively pursuing opportunities in the NIL space—where I can use my experience in collegiate sports, creative solutions, and genuine relationship building to empower student-athletes. College athletics shaped my journey, and now I'm driven to guide and support today's student-athletes as they navigate the ever-changing NIL landscape.
