About Erin Kanygin

I am a lawyer, legal tech nerd, legal GenAI and process redesign/automation expert. I bring knowledge and experience working with numerous digital platforms to design innovative solutions for in-house legal teams and top tier law firms. This is alongside my expertise in Artificial Intelligence tools (GenAI + ML), due diligence software, and numerous other leading legal tech platforms that I have product managed within law firms. In the past year I’ve had experience piloting, rolling out and driving engagement for both Harvey (G+T) & Legora (Stewart McKelvey)- happy to chat about those experiences and what I’ve learned along the way! I work with all corporate legal practice groups to identify pain points, procure, design, and implement solutions, and drive adoption.I completed the Juris Doctor at Melbourne Law School (ranked among the World's top 10 Law Schools by QS World University Rankings) in 2019, where I won the award for “Best Law App”, I have worked in legal innovation at Australia’s top corporate law firms before moving home to Nova Scotia, Canada where I now work as a Strategy & Innovation advisor at Stewart McKelvey. In 2021, during Melbourne’s never ending lockdown, I partnered with a friend to design and build our own legal app called “Bumpd”, which experimented with how technology can provide access to justice - a passion of mine.
