Currently working as a Utilization Management and Review Nurse for UHC/Optum. Previously experience includes working for Landmark Health/UHC as a Case Manager with a focus on urgent care, chronic disease management, and post-hospitalization stabilization. I worked with complex care medical patients with a focus on HEDIS gap closures and resource support for various modalities, including social and behavioral health entities. This was a metrics-driven, fast-paced role where one must be adaptive, innovative, and thrives in a collaborative setting. Prior to my work as a CM, I worked as the Nurse Coordinator of a Med-Surg Unit focused primarily on colorectal, trauma, and vascular patients. I was one of four leaders championing our team of roughly 50 employees during the Covid-19 Pandemic and utilized a collaborative team approach that embodied leading by example and utilizing innovative practices to provide the best patient care. This dual-role also included managing day-to-day operations, ensuring staffing levels were appropriate for all shifts, timekeeping and payroll, and employee performance reviews.
