Through my experience as a Director of Compliance and Enforcement at the Alberta Energy Regulator (AER), I understand complexities and multiple regulatory layers companies must navigate. I take a risk-based approach to compliance and tailor custom programs and enforcement action responses nuanced for each of my clients unique needs. As a previous adjudicator at the AER, I understand how the regulators evaluate and enforce compliance requirements and help my clients’ maintain their reputation. Not everyone likes to pour over policy, but I do my best work drafting, understanding and applying regulatory requirements. Recently, I took on the challenge of building a comprehensive compliance program for a FinTech startup to establish customer confidence and attract reliable investors.
