About Erin Mason

My undergraduate and master's degree in technical writing marry perfectly with my master's and doctoral work in education–significantly and positively impacting my role as an educator. As someone who is passionate about education, my goal is to use any role I have to positively impact as many learners as I can–understanding the profound significance education can have to individuals and society. In addition to building and instructing English composition and literature courses, I am adept at designing clear, informative, and visually appealing course materials to meet the learners' various needs. This skill set also allows me to create organized, simple, and navigable courses in learning management systems for my face-to-face and distance learning students. I began teaching in higher education, face-to-face, in 2015 and distance learning in 2017. Additionally, I also bring seven years of experience teaching in the K-12 setting. Currently, I am pursuing my doctorate in education at the University of Dayton. My dissertation focuses on educational technology–specifically blogging–and its impact on student writing fluency and writing self-efficacy.
