About Erin McCarthy

I am a Junior at Sacred Heart University studying a double major in Accounting and Management at the Jack Welch College of Business. I am on the track of being 150 Credit Ready for the CPA Exam, with planning on attending Graduate School to pursue a Masters in Accounting. I am currently working as a Tax Accounting Intern, learning more within my field and on the tax side of accounting work! I have been able to gain ample experience at my place of work and have been continuing to grow as a future Deloitte Intern! I have plans to work at the Stamford office in the summer of 2026 as an Audit Intern for Deloitte! I cannot wait for this opportunity to take full swing and be able to see the auditing side! The value of connections and interactions are the most important thing I have taken away from SHU. Being able to grow my network and make connections with people has been an importance involved within my education to gain opportunities. The Jack Welch College of Business has given me invaluable insights for my future profession in a competitive business and educated me for my career beyond graduation. I'm still developing valuable abilities that will help me in the real world and supply me with essential technological and analytical skills.
