About Erin Moore

My passion for Interior Design began as a teenager. My first memory of something resembling Interior design was when I entered a friend’s bedroom and found myself re-imagining the space and reworking the layout. I have always been a creative person and it was whilst studying my UAL Extended Diploma in Art and Design at College, that a project led me to converting our summerhouse into a mockup of an ‘All Saints’ shop, and this is where it began. I then chose to design the interior of the summerhouse for my college final major project, which included making a pull-out sofa bed. I knew then that I wanted to do a degree in Interior Design. My degree has provided me with building blocks to a career in the field. From learning how to create commercial and domestic spatial designs using Sketchup, Vectorworks and Lumion, to Interior Styling using InDesign, Photoshop and Lightroom. Another aspect involved developing my hand drawn surface designs. One of the most memorable moment, was working on a live project for Lord Montagu’s Beaulieu Estate, to design two bedrooms and a bathroom, along with complimentary surface designs. This gave me the opportunity to expand and develop my abilities and strengthen my presentations skills to a client. My vision for the future is to travel the world and experience different styles and cultures and use this to influence, develop and expand my knowledge as a designer. I feel I am a friendly and approachable person with the ability to work both in a team and independently. I have led a team to a successful outcome during one of our short styling assignments at university and ensured everyone was playing to their strengths.
