About Erin Morris

I began working at the age of thirteen at a ranch in Spring Creek, Pennsylvania. I have moved from one job to another as my skill set and education improved and developed. Due to my schooling choices, I secured a teaching position in 2003 at Plum Senior High School. My teaching experiences have challenged me to multi-task, work productively under pressure, and think and react quickly to issues. I am goal-oriented, detail-oriented, and work well independently as well as in a team or group setting. I possess excellent organizational and communication skills and I have proven my abilities to be efficient and effective in my duties. Each year I am awarded 180 days to teach, assess and reach 150+ students successfully. It has become my job to not only cover and complete the curriculum, but also produce learners who are prepared and capable for their future academic endeavors. This task requires the ability to continually monitor and adjust; a skill I have developed throughout my career. I am creative and have excellent decision-making skills. A career in teaching provides a myriad of skills; skills which a teacher needs to possess in order to be an effective and successful educator. Above all, I have personality traits that give me an edge on my fellow job seekers. I have excellent social skills, I am resilient and I am disciplined. I was raised with a Protestant work ethic and I pride myself in the work I accomplish. Most importantly I am a life-long learner and am open to new experiences. As my career has progressed, I have found new fields of interest. I would love to see my career path move in the direction of producing. I thrive on the challenge, stress and exhilaration of planning a large event and then executing the team's vision. I have proven my abilities through a myriad of assignments such as Carnevale! and publicity director positions for three high school plays and five high school musicals. I would like to continue doing this type of work.
