Erin represents major surplus lines insurers in complex insurance coverage matters throughout the United States and internationally. This representation spans a broad array of issues, including bad faith, commercial property, commercial general liability, cargo, hired and non-owned commercial automobile, condominium associations, homeowners, business owners, employer liability, artisan and business loss/interruption. She has successfully defended insurers through the enforcement of form and manuscript policy provisions, exclusions, and endorsements as well as through the identification and investigation of policyholder fraudulent misrepresentation. Her deep understanding of the unique structure and challenges of the London market and surplus lines industry enables Erin to effectively address specific policy coverage issues and resolve claims. She also has extensive experience analyzing complicated coverage and liability issues involved in the defense and indemnification of additional insureds. Erin’s considerable experience in advising and counseling the London market and surplus lines extends to bad faith disputes, insurance regulatory issues and national class actions. Her bad faith cases run the gamut from allegations of improper claims handling by the adjuster to unreasonable denials by the insurer.
