About Erin Ohanley

Transferable skills are where I'm at. Today, I lead the People Operations & Finance Team at Venture for Canada, a national charity the helps young Canadians find entrepreneurial training and real-world job experience at innovative small businesses. My team works to support Venture for Canada's finances, internal administration and culture so that we can follow through on our mission. In the past, I've been many other things. Each of these experiences has given me great skills to bring to the next phase of my life. Hiring, training, and managing a great team for a fast-paced environment. Figuring out how to run a theatre festival on a tight budget. Learning new technology quickly to fill a volunteer gap. Understanding financial systems to run a small business and make strategic decisions. In all of my previous roles, I had to learn quickly, be nimble and think creatively. Outside of work, I'm an avid runner and triathlete. I enjoy a great movie (great being a relative term) and a pint of good beer with friends.
