About Erin Peifer
In 2012 I was invited to give input to a hospital group regarding the implementation of an Electronic Health Record (EHR). At this point I had built many types of systems for various organizations such as Content Management Systems (CMS), Customer Relations Management (CRM), Recruitment Systems and Learning Management Systems (LMS) but I didn't have any experience in the medical field or with an Electronic Health Records System. I decided to educate myself in all things EHR. It quickly became clear that the health care world needed clinically trained individuals to successfully develop, manage and support the continued evolution of Electronic Health Records Systems. This would save lives and help support and protect our clinical teams during times of choas. Because of this I quit my job and went to nursing school with the hopes of one day being able to combine my careers and help build a better healthcare system for whomever needed one.
