About Erin Poll

As a McGill University employee and international student, I am passionate about gaining new experiences and connections through working and learning. As a result, I have been diligent in my studies–achieving multiple academic honors–and avidly expanded my network through various positions across campus. In the future, however, my primary goals are to teach, travel, and collect art. I also hope to return to higher education and pursue additional degrees. I decided to pursue a Bachelor's in Education as the field synthesizes my greatest interests and strengths: social studies, public speaking, and working with young people. My teaching philosophy begins with my belief that an educator's primary purpose is to aid in students’ personal development; this means that I strive to nurture diverse interests and experiences in the classroom, providing a safe space for questioning and exploration. Although I intend to remain in Canada, I was born and raised in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, USA. Beyond being a student and a hard worker, I am an extrovert, a cat owner, and a history lover!
