I currently work as an Operating room nurse circulator for the best plastic surgeon in all of Wisconsin. I love my job, and love seeing all the different surgeries and life changing surgeries our amazing surgeon can do. I love seeing the joy these surgeries give our patients. Most importantly I love learning new skills every day. I recently started learning to be a nurse injector (injecting Botox & fillers) and It seems to be becoming my passion the more I learn. I enjoy making people feel good about coming to me for something they want done to feel better about themselves. I have also worked as a Private Duty Nurse for children with tracheotomies, g-tubes & on ventilators. As a private duty nurse I was also a Case Manager for my clients which deals with getting Prior Authorization from either private insurance, managed care organizations, or Medicaid. My private duty nursing cases involved pediatric patients who have long term illnesses such as heart defects, respiratory diseases, Cerebral Palsy (CP) and Traumatic Brain Injuries (TBI). Many patients need care for a Gastrostomy Tube (G-Tube), Tracheostomy (Trach) or Ventilator (Vent). Previously to private duty nursing I was a Psychiatric Registered Nurse, working Psychiatric/Skilled Home Health nursing. I loved seeing the improvement that I was able to make in my patient's lives. I have always had a love for the elder, and Mentally ill mainly because I feel like so many of them slip through the cracks and are left uncared for. Most of my nursing career has been managing patients, and being the case manager for each patient that I am assigned. I have also acted as a referral source for Amedisys as I had already built a great relationship with so many facilities. I received referrals by helping the facility directors match appropriate patients in need of our service. I also worked at Winnebago Mental Health Institute, and there I had my specific patient load and worked with a multidisciplinary team to come up with the best plan of care for that specific patient. I have enjoyed patient care as well as the marketing and Management side of my career. I have enjoyed all of my nursing experiences and look forward to my future in nursing. erinmrill@hotmail.com
