About Erin Roemer

This past May, I completed my Bachelor's Degree in Public Health and Chinese Language from the University of Vermont. I developed an extensive set of skills with regards to improving healthcare on the population level as well as the individual. I concentrated on global health systems and during my semester abroad in Cape Town, South Africa, I had the opportunity to study South Africa and surrounding countries’ public health systems firsthand. With a focus on the health epidemics, I further intensified my commitment to equitable healthcare for under-resourced populations. In addition to my academic experience, I worked as a Medical Assistant in Obstetrics and Gynecology, which has reinforced my dedication to patient care and being an integral part of healthcare teams. I’m especially interested in bridging the gap between public health initiatives and clinical care, to ensure that patients receive holistic and dedicated care regardless of their resources or circumstances. While I’m exploring diverse career opportunities within the healthcare field, my ultimate goal is to positively contribute to patient care and population health, and working on equitable access to healthcare for all individuals.
