If you were to ask a family member, co-worker, or friend about myself, I would probably be described best as an outgoing, hard-working individual who loves meeting new people and engaging in anything having to do with health and wellness. While exploring the student path off and on in my previous years, I was searching to find the career that would best suit my personality and high energy. Fortunately, I learned about Occupational Therapy and quickly dived into a career as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant! After 6 years of treating patients, my company came to me with the opportunity to expand my skills. I then accepted a position as a rehab coordinator. Taking on a role in a leadership position was a challenge - A challenge that has been very rewarding as it presented and carried out opportunity for my personal and professional growth. I can honestly say I have enjoyed my time as a COTA and Rehab Coordinator while helping individuals regain their independence. I have also thoroughly enjoyed learning and implementing strategies to improve my personal and professional growth, knowledge, & skills. Recently, after careful consideration of my current career and growth opportunity, I have accepted a new opportunity with a bit of a career transition to an Account Manager with First Choice Facilities. It was a hard decision to transition into a brand new career, as I am going in blindly to a new industry. Although I will miss the therapy world, I am so excited to see how I grow with this new opportunity and to learn all about a new industry!
