About Erin van Guilder

Today’s fast-paced world expects integration, collaboration, and communication to perform and compete. Curriculum, instruction, and assessment needs to integrate strategic approaches to access, process, and manipulate information within a collaborative environment. Through strategic instruction and exposure to new ways of learning, we can prepare students for this new technological age. As a visionary leader, I work towards exposing educators to the 21st century literacies, connect them to the wider world, provide authentic audiences for their work, and utilize new modes of communication. Skills: Identifying school teaching and learning needs, barriers and weaknesses through needs analysis, and organizing and implementing problem-solving actions with teachers and administrators. Facilitating school-based high quality professional development, working with teachers (in teams or individually) to refine their knowledge and skills. Monitoring instructional effectiveness and progress using tools and strategies gained through professional development Model the effective use of technology integration strategies and multiple technologies into curriculum and instructional practices across content areas.
