About Erkan Kaban

Hi! my name is Erkan. Residing in Melbourne and am on a journey to becoming a full-stack developer. I'm learning about coding daily and how a Full-stack website and API function. Since an early age, I have always had a passion for code and how we communicate from human language to code. Why a career change to full stack developer? I wanted to follow my deep core memory of what used to make me excited to do a particular activity: coding. My past career choices also needed to align with my wants and needs. I've heard many good things about the coding work culture and the flexibility of working as a developer. Interesting facts about you I'm born Australian but Turkish by background. I've run a 21km Marathon and have done some weightlifting competitions. I used to work as an Aircraft Mechanical Engineer for Qantas Engineering. My favourite place I've ever been to was New Caledonia. Current Full Stack learning curve: My programming skills are structured around Model View Control and Object Oriented Programming. The primary focus is on a clean code principle, having the exact names for variables, sanitization, authorization, encryption, and DRY code in mind, with comments where needed and thorough documentation. I have worked on projects planned on Trello boards with Agile and Kanban methodologies and developed ERDs and flow charts, from terminal-based to CRUD database interactivity to back-end ORMs to Front-End Frameworks to package management systems to unit testing to deployment.
