About Ernest Allen

I am fortunate to serve as a Director at the U.S. Department of Agriculture, where I oversee the administration of a Federal program aimed at facilitating trade in domestic and international markets. I also have the pleasure of serving as the current Vice President of the International Seed Testing Association (ISTA). In this capacity, I am deeply committed to advancing the Association's mission of ensuring the unhampered production and trade of high-quality seed from each of ISTA's 83 member countries/distinct economies. My experience in policy development, marketing, quality testing, and seed certification has enabled me to make impactful contributions to business policy decisions, industry rules, and regulatory requirements in both domestic and international arenas. My career has been shaped by an enthusiasm for excellence, a commitment to people, and a passion for improving economic opportunities in agriculture.
