I arrived in the USA from Cuba over 20 years ago with just $100, a love for technology, and a lot of uncertainty. Leaving behind family and everything familiar was tough. I wondered if I’d ever get to work in tech here. After some tough early jobs, I landed a software engineering role in Maryland, my dream come true. But the Dotcom crash hit, and I was laid off a day before Christmas. That moment taught me to shape my own future. While job hunting, a friend asked me to help a small business set up 10 computers, a firewall, and a T1 line. I did it to help out a friend, not expecting payment, until they asked for an invoice. That spark led to more projects, and soon, I founded Pronto Tech, almost by accident. That experience shaped our mission: we’re here to help your business succeed, prioritizing your needs with simple, honest IT solutions.
