About Erum B.

With an MPhil in Psychology from Fatima Jinnah Women University (FJWU), Pakistan, I began my academic career as a visiting lecturer in the Department of Behavioral Sciences at FJWU and the Department of Applied Psychology at the National University of Modern Languages (NUML). Later, I transitioned into a contractual lecturer role at NUML, where I took on multifaceted responsibilities, including serving as Program Coordinator, Focal Person for the Internship and Job Placement Bureau, Lecturer, and Research Thesis Supervisor. My focus has been on empowering students through personalized mentorship, career guidance, and academic support. Each of these roles has given me a unique perspective on fostering both academic and personal growth within the field of psychology. With over 13 years in the field, I've had the privilege of supporting individuals through diverse mental, emotional, and behavioral challenges in settings including Pakistan Railway Hospital, MATRC (Anti Narcotics Force Pakistan), Hawkeye Media, and my own clinic. I believe in a therapeutic approach that goes beyond treatment, helping clients cultivate lasting resilience and growth. My areas of expertise include interpersonal issues, stress management, and chronic mental health conditions such as ADHD, mood disorders, schizophrenia, and substance abuse. Through methods like career counseling, cognitive behavioral therapy, individual, group, and family therapy. I provide tailored support that fosters meaningful change. In addition to clinical work, I am actively engaged in mental health awareness, partnering with Sama News, PTV, Afghan TV, and academic institutions like Fatima Jinnah Women University and NUML to educate students, professionals, and the general public through seminars, workshops, and guest lectures. As a researcher, my work delves into the domain of clinical, health, social and organizational psychology. Published works like "Navigating Trust in Physicians", Significance of Health Equality","Impact of Parental Participation in Career Exploration Programs on High School Learner’s Self-Concept"," Corporate Social Responsibility and Consumer Psychology","Panic Buying and Health Literacy During Environmental Disasters", and "Prevalence of Obsessive-Compulsive Symptoms in an Outpatient Sample of Patients with Schizophrenia", showcase my commitment to advancing both academic understanding and societal well-being.
