About Erwin Boutsma

Science is the major force that pushes humanity forward, and it is the most important approach to find sustainable solutions to the great challenges of our time. Communication and stakeholder management are key in achieving this goal. At Lygature, these are among our core values. As a not-for-profit partnership management organization, we bring stakeholders together to advance drug development and medical technology, with a tangible impact on patients' lives. Lygature's employees are usually involved in multiple projects at the same time. For me, these are currently: Oncode Accelerator: An ambitious National Growth Fund program and public-private initiative to innovate and accelerate the preclinical development of new cancer therapies. Oncode Accelerator aims to do that by placing cancer patients at the core of preclinical therapy development, using well-defined patient cohorts, next-gen organoids, and artificial intelligence. Find out more at IDERHA: A multi-stakeholder public-private partnership funded through the EU Innovative Health Initiative (IHI). IDERHA addresses the obstacles in accessing, integrating and analyzing health data to maximize their value for patient care and medical research. A new, scalable platform will integrate real world data to support healthcare professionals, patients and researchers to make better decisions about treatment, disease management, and research. Find out more at KITT: A collaborative initiative funded through NIH, bringing together the brightest minds in the field of tuberculosis research. By pooling resources from multiple key stakeholders in a safe environment, we aim to identify obstacles that prevent efficient tuberculosis treatment, and improve clinical trial development.
