About Erwin Gutic

I have spent more than half of my life playing on a variety of teams with many different people from varying backgrounds and I have always been able to win and more importantly, achieve my goals. I am finishing my Master's in Athletic Leadership at the University of Rio Grande while playing basketball. I am looking to find a career or niche that will help me fully realize my potential while also utilizing my experiences and education. Throughout my education, especially while acquiring my Bachelor's degree in Business Administration from Malone University, I have shown a great deal of leadership, project, and crisis management. Having played basketball almost my entire life I have dealt with losing a fair bit and what it taught me was that the best way to handle it is with your team. I came to the US in my junior year of high school after being both a prolific student and athlete in my home country of Bosnia and Herzegovina. This was one of the hardest things I have had to do in my life, especially considering that for the two years, I was in high school, I went to prep schools that were predominantly filled with other international students from almost every different culture. While it was burdensome for me, it helped teach me how to interact with almost anyone in this world. I see myself as somewhat of a Swiss Army knife. I am willing to learn and I learn quickly. I am not certain of what it is that I want to do exactly, but I could see myself in fields like Human Resources, Administration, Finance, Sales, Management, etc. Whatever my future holds for me I am excited to see it, but more importantly, I am excited to get to work and accomplish all of my goals in front of me.
