About Erwin Lips

I have been working in various areas of Sourcing and Supply Chain Management for over 20 years, from building networks and solutions in transportation and warehousing to program and project management, consultancy to quality management. From supporting complex carve-outs due to divestments to Distribution interim-management. Leading teams, both in matrix and line organization, driving (quality) improvements in the entire supply chain. My passion is to bring people together, people from different areas and backgrounds with seemingly different goals by finding the common ground in order to build solutions for complex challenges and ultimately drive improvements and achieve targets as a team. Currently I am leading large programs and projects in the Strategic Sourcing & Procurement domain at ASML, responsible for delivering improvements and new ways of working within triple constraints (scope, time and cost). Previously I lead a global team to drive quality improvements in the end-to-end supply chain of Philips, focused on delivering smooth installations of complex medical systems and solutions, working with disciplines throughout the supply chain including R&D, manufacturing, planning, warehousing and distribution, order management and installation specialists. Before that, in the role of in-house consultant at Philips, I supported both Philips and external companies to improve their business processes, especially in the areas of Supply Chain & Operations Management. And before that I held various roles in global logistics companies, working with customers across many industries e.g. High Tech, Medical, FMCG, Aviation, Automotive etc. I hold a Master’s Degree in Industrial Engineering & Management Science (‘Technische Bedrijfskunde’) from the Eindhoven University of Technology.
