I have a high focus on code maintainability (and readability), a high interest in learning diverse technologies in order to understand the benefits and disadvantages of each tool and applying them where they fit best. An important part of that is to apply the techniques and technologies in actual software. As a side effect of those focus areas, I have become increasingly involved in software and enterprise architecture as a means for maintaining (reducing) complexity.In addition to the actual technical part of developing and maintaining software I find it is important to be able to understand the use cases/business scenarios where the software is applied even outside the software boundaries, what is it that drives the requirements and demands of the software, and how can we as software developers guide the business to better results, more effective routines or whatever it is they are trying to achieve. Most recently my day to day technology focus revolves around cloud related things primarily Microsoft Service Fabric with.NET Core and Azure DevOps for planning, CI and deployments.Since 2010 the majority of my programming time has been C# and the.NET family of languages (due to the work I have), as well as some dabbling in Powershell.I have various degrees of "ancient" experience with PHP, ASP Classic (as In VbScript), JavaScript, C/C++, Perl, T-SQL/PL-SQL and Python.On the systems administration side I have worked with various Linux Distributions, Solaris, Windows. Technologies and software I have experience with includes things such as, mrtg, nagios, ldap, radius, vmware (ESXi), apache, mysql, svn, cvs, iis, mssql and the likes. In the network area, I have primarily been in contact with Cisco products and technologies like 802.1q, 802.1x, IPSEC, DMVPN, OSPF and NFlow. Through that I have a detailed knowledge of IP based networking and operations in general.All in all I have covered a broad range of technologies and I am always willing to try something new if it can solve the job.
