About Esme Abbott

A passionate advocate for the rights enshrined in the Sustainable Development Goals which is evident in her work at organisations focusing on education, youth empowerment and gender equality whilst also participating in model COPs and co-founding a social media project raising awareness about post colonialism and its intersections with current social issues. As a self-starter Esme takes every opportunity to learn and grow, teaching herself French and auditing various online courses whilst also writing articles on prominent issues such as international affairs, racism and labour rights. She graduated with a BA honours in an Open Degree which allowed Esme to pursue a broad range of interests including criminal justice, environmental policy, international development and politics, all whilst living and travelling abroad. With a keen interest in social justice and politics, Esme hopes to acquire the relevant experience needed to pursue a career in policy and development.
