Esther Cabrera PhD, RN FEANS. Full professor at the School of Health Sciences TecnoCampus (UPF) Currently she is the Director of the Chair un Aging and Quality of Life at TecnoCampus Mataró, Barcelona,Spain. During the first years as a nurse (1988) she developed her professional trajectory as a intensive care nurse in Spain and childbirth educator in the University of Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha, Nebraska( USA). Since 1998 she has worked in the area of higher education, teaching in Nursing Faculties in graduate, master and doctoral programs. In the area of the research Dr. Cabrera has an extensive trajectory. She has participated and participates actively in projects funded by the Ministry of Science e Innovation, the Generalitat de Catalunya and the European Unión. Dr. Cabrera is the coordinator of the Group of Recerca Consolidat (GRACIS, SGR 944) of the la Agència de Gestió d'Ajuts Universitaris i de Recerca (AGAUR). She leads a line of research in eldery, aging and nursing with national and international publications. She is fellow member since 2008 of the European Academy of Nursing Science (EANS) and chair of UDINE group of European Nurses Network. From 2010 to 2019 she has been Director (Dean) of the School of Health Sciences (ESCS) at the TecnoCampus Mataró (Barcelona,Spain) Actually she is the academic director of the Master Degree of Research in Integrated Care Management in Chronicity and Ageing of the Universitat Pompeu Fabra.
