About Esther Doster

My passion is for words and the English language, being an avid reader, a writer of both prose and poetry and a lover of presenting my work in a professional and pleasing way, whether by self taught webpage creation skills or formatting a document neatly and correctly. I also find IT fascinating in many of its aspects, be it the development of complex applications or the myriad of uses to which those applications can be put. In my professional life I spent 7 years running applications and self written scripts to execute the end of day batch processes, followed by 6 years of analysing customs and tax systems built for overseas governments in order to write a user manual that would be professional, useful and comprehensive. I then spent 8 years creating and managing the user documentation for a company specialising in cloud based telephony via Salesforce, finally migrating the user guide to Madcap Flare, held in an S3 bucket, to support the Customer Success site held in Salesforce Community. Most recently I have spent a year creating complex release notes and updating online help for cloud based student management systems, utilising Microsoft 365 and Azure Devops. My degree in English Literature and Drama, compounded by discovering the diversity of IT at university, provides an ideal platform for this mix.
