About Esther Jones

I am not normal. Now, that sounds odd, doesn't it? Let me explain. Normal is boring. I would never want to be normal. I want to be different, to stand out, to be noticed and remembered. I work for the public school board, coordinating and scheduling substitute teachers, and ensuring that classes are covered. This requires me to prioritize my time in an efficient manner. In the past, I worked for one of the top companies in Canada, entering payroll and creating & maintaining reports on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis. I also assist with onboarding employees, and processing promotions & terminations. I have developed new efficient processes that save time and money. At both of the above organizations, I assisted with the transition to a new payroll system, navigating the challenges inherent in such. This required the ability to identify and solve problems quickly and efficiently. I am Junior html developer, a Social media manager, and a Photo editor. I'm adaptable and proactive with rapid skill acquisition. I learned to read when I was four years old, and I began writing soon thereafter. I can see most of the typos that the average human brain skips or 'autocorrects,' making me an excellent proofreader. I used to do this for my friends in school, joking that I should charge them for the service. I am a poet. I love words, and they sing for me. They are my paint and brushes; they are my clay.
