About Esther Schaupeter

Many interests - one passion: aviation After my bachelor's degree in general engineering science with a focus on biomedical engineering I started working as a flight attendant. After one year in the air, I wanted to get my feet back on the ground and continued my studies in aircraft systems engineering. The highlight of my studies was taking part in the DLR/NASA Design Challenge 2019, where I developed the rAPID in a multidisciplinary team over a period of eight months. I took over the areas of cabin design, environmental control system, costs, operations, as well as video editing and product presentation. I wrote my master's thesis at the Institute for Air Transport Systems at the TUHH. In this, I validated and expanded various use cases, user goals and requirements with user-centered methods such as design thinking for a smart lavatory for Diehl Aviation in cooperation with DLR (German Aerospace Center). I also developed a methodology to monetarily evaluate the use cases, which have many qualitative factors. In my position as Sales Support Manager at LHT, my team and I create customer contracts, calculate fair prices for our customers and handle many tasks related to the sales process, including negotitating and reporting. In addition to project work, marketing campaigns are also part of my ​​responsibility.
