About Etchi Daniel Jones
I have been in the Management and Research industry for nearly several years now. This has given me a good background in all aspects of farming, including training of rural poor farmers in food sustainability, horticulture, fruit and vegetables production, Rural Development, soil science, water conservation, environmental protection and agricultural consulting. Working together with the Biochar Fund in Belgium, I completed the first "Biochar Field Trials" in Cameroon in 2009. The biggest in Africa. And in 2015 to 2018, another biochar research funded by the International Development Research Centre (IDRC) Canada, I completed this project together with Carleton University and Viresco Solutions both in Canada benefiting several smallholder farmers in rural poor communities in Cameroon. Both projects and many more are helping the poorest of the poor farmers in sustainably promoting food security and mitigating climate change at same time.
