About Ethan Allen

Ethan Allen is a highly motivated and accomplished leader with a diverse range of skills and expertise in business strategy, negotiations, financial analysis, team building, and operational improvement. He currently serves on multiple boards in both active and observational capacities. Ethan's journey to his current professional success has been a long, fun, and challenging one, fueled by his unwavering commitment to hard work, determination, and passion for business. At the age of 10, he began his career as a janitor at his father's church and later worked as a paperboy, referee, coach, camp counselor, and youth sports program manager. He also took on a variety of jobs to pay for his college education, including flipping burgers and selling products. Ethan earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Finance from Hillsdale College and worked as a middle market commercial loan officer for Comerica Bank. During his tenure at Comerica, he developed a strength in analyzing financial statements, company growth strategies, and creditworthiness of borrowers. Ethan went on to earn his M.B.A. from The Kelley School of Business at Indiana University, Bloomington, where he focused on dual majors in marketing and corporate innovation. He was elected president of the Graduate Entrepreneurs Club by his peers, and his proudest accomplishment during graduate school was the birth of his first daughter. After graduate school, Ethan served as an Executive Director with Cummins Bridgeway, LLC, where he was responsible for sales and operations teams in Ohio. He excelled in sustainable growth, safety, employee development, community service, customer support, and financial returns. All of these experiences and educational pursuits led Ethan to co-found Navigant Oak, a family office that deploys both capital and business acumen among various direct and fund investments across the United States. Portfolio companies include manufacturing, fluid analysis, real estate, consumer products, aerospace, transportation, and a large Harley-Davidson dealer network. Ethan is married to his wife Sarah, and they have two beautiful daughters and two loyal, fun-loving dogs.
