About Ethan Baird

Fullstack Engineer with experience in TypeScript, React, Node.js, and AWS. I bring a background as an AWS specialist on a Platform team, combining frontend polish with cloud-scale architecture. Passionate about building user-friendly applications, resilient systems, and always learning along the way. I’m Ethan, a Fullstack Engineer with a passion for building user-friendly applications and scalable systems. My journey into tech started through the CodeClan Software Engineering bootcamp, where I built a strong foundation in software principles and hands-on coding. Before that, I worked in customer service and the performing arts as an actor, experiences that sharpened my adaptability, communication, and creativity — all skills I carry into my engineering work today. I’ve since spent a couple of years working across the stack with TypeScript, React, Node.js, and AWS. My time as an AWS specialist on a Platform team gave me deep experience with cloud infrastructure, automation, and resilient system design. That background now complements my fullstack development work, allowing me to bridge the gap between polished frontends and scalable backends. Outside of coding, I’m usually exploring music, discovering new films, enjoying musical theatre, or following the latest drama in Formula 1. These interests keep me curious, creative, and always learning. I’m always open to connecting — whether it’s to talk tech, share ideas, or even swap playlists, film recommendations, or F1 hot takes.
