About Ethan Burchett

Hi, my name is Ethan Burchett. I am from Mount Sterling Kentucky, and I’m a senior Risk Management and Insurance Student at Eastern Kentucky University. I plan to graduate in the fall of 2024. • I am involved and a founding member of the Pi Sigma Epsilon Eta Chi chapter, a co-ed national sales fraternity where I compete against students across the nation in sales competitions. • I am also a founding member of the SMILE Club, which was created to promote positivity on campus. • Finally, I am an active member of the Mu Beta chapter of Tau Kappa Epsilon, a social fraternity. • I am interested in working in insurance or other risk management-related career fields after graduation. • Recently, I served as my fraternity's Fundraising and Philanthropy Chair, raising awareness and funds for St. Jude Children's Hospital. • I have also recently earned my Open Water Scuba Certification through SDI. • Last Summer, I was selected to be an AmeriCorps VISTA for the Star of the Sea Foundation, where I aided in hunger relief across Monroe County, Florida. • Through these experiences, I have gained skills in working with others, planning events, and marketing, which I feel are beneficial skills in the insurance and risk management career fields. • I am confident in my ability to communicate with a diverse clientele and advertise what an insurance company has to offer potential customers. • I am hoping to meet other people involved in insurance and risk management career fields to build connections for future work after I graduate. • I am also open to any internships or entry-level jobs within the insurance and risk management career fields. • Ideally, I would like to one day operate a successful insurance agency. To accomplish this goal, I would love to learn from industry professionals in any capacity that I can to expand my knowledge and learn skills that are relevant to my future career plans.
