About Ethan Gingerich

As the CEO of Engineers in Action, I lead a global team that builds essential infrastructure to expand safe access to water, sanitation, hygiene, education, health care, markets, and opportunity for rural communities around the world. Our work is supported by local governments, orchestrated by professional staff, amplified by student and professional volunteers, and always rooted in the communities we partner with to create solutions that last for generations. I am a program-builder and engineer with deep experience in project design, construction management, community engagement, government partnership, and organizational leadership. My work focuses on: field-first program design for community infrastructure, capacity building and mentoring for volunteers and local partners, and building scalable training and governance systems that help communities sustain and expand essential services.
