I am a Technical Supervisor, Claims in the Accident Benefits department with Co-operators General Insurance Company. With 3+ years of leadership, 9+ years of Insurance Industry experience and 8 years as a Fitness Professional, I have a varied professional background and skillset. I bring a people development lens to my management style with an analytical eye for detail while leading with empathy. My educational experience includes a Bachelor of Science with Specialized Honours in Kinesiology & Health Science, a Certificate in Fitness Assessment and Exercise Counselling and my Chartered Insurance Professional (CIP) Designation. I utilize my medical, rehabilitation, disability management, Fitness and Insurance education and leadership experience and lessons learned to coach, develop and provide coaching, job development, operational & technical support for investigating, claim management, negotiating and resolving Accident Benefit Claims for a group of 5-7 Claims Representatives on a daily basis. I have a passion for client service, simplicity, efficiency and finding win-win solutions. I bring an empathetic, yet fair approach to all claim leadership and believe in the same values in claim handling to help rehabilitate clients and indemnify all losses to ensure a holistic and expedient claim process from start to finish.
