About Ethan Johnson

MY STORY My professional career began with a series of manual labor type jobs, such as HVAC, landscape, and aviation mechanics. I had been presented with the opportunity to explore software development and I turned it down, wanting to stay within the blue-collar job market. While I was learning a lot of invaluable skills, part of me still felt unfulfilled, no matter how many times I changed jobs. That lack of fulfillment led me to consider a new path. Ironically, that led me back to the very opportunity I had turned down in the beginning- software development. WHAT FUELS ME I have discovered a new passion and found purpose in the tech industry. A fire has been lit and I work hard to stoke it through increasing my skillset, gaining experience in various coding languages, frameworks, and practices, and working with teammates. Likewise, it has brought out the creativity I knew I had somewhere deep down inside. I have gained an early love for front end development but want to be a quality full stack developer. Learning new tools gives me the power to make that a reality. I loved learning and implementing Vue, Bootstrap, and JavaScript, because it helped me discover my passion for front end development. However, it's satisfying to be able to create a full stack application. I spend a fair amount of time in Node.js and C# to accomadate that.
