About Ethan Orbach

Every moment I spend not working on a video project or on the set of a video project I spend thinking about the next time I will be. Simply put; movies and filmmaking are my life. When watching content I can’t help but dissect and analyze it’s storytelling techniques; always trying to determine how and why the audience is being effectively entertained. As a commercial filmmaker I try to employ the techniques I learned from my degree in Directing for Motion Picture and Television; always trying to subvert expectations but still presenting a beautiful and effective finished piece. I realized quickly how crucial collaboration is in filmmaking, which made it clear that my goal should always be to learn as much as possible from my associates while also trying to challenge and inspire. I have a lot to learn still but I always try to empower my teammates by making sure they know their voice is heard, letting them know how much I appreciate what they are doing and giving feedback as much as I can. It is my goal to do good in this world, and I know, with a little help from my friends, I can with film. Stories inspire change and they are the most important things we leave behind once we can’t take them with. All I want to do is help tell great stories.
